What’s the difference between the SS Skyer and the SS Skyer Boom Bat?
 Here at Surridge we like to be able to offer cricket clothing and equipment to everyone, so we offer similar products within different price ranges to suit everyone’s budgets.
The main difference between the two products is the quality of the materials used to make the bats individual components, such as handle, rubber grip, foam and overall shape.
Although all Surridge products are made and tested to the highest standards, the SS Skyer was designed to withstand the most intense professional training sessions.
The SS Skyer handle is made of the best quality cane handle and rubber grip. The SS Skyer also has a splice taken away below the handle, ensuring comfortable grip and precision aim. The Boom bat has a more traditional bat shape and handle.
The SS Skyer Boom Bat’s foam front is plain black and un-dyed, unlike the SS Skyer’s, which is dyed to match the orange design, The SS Skyer is also supplied in a durable nylon carry case.
The SS Skyer was designed to last more than a couple of seasons in the most demanding environments and group training sessions. There isn’t any guarantee how long the SS Skyer Boom Bat will last, but because of it lower £40 price tag makes it ideal for individuals and younger players.

The deal, of which the financial details remain undisclosed, will see the International cricket team favourite, the 'Fusion Skyer' renamed the 'SS Skyer' and a wider range of innovative and unrivalled products will be introduced to the market over the next 2 years. The 'SS Skyer' will continue to be available through stockists at £150.00 and a brand new product called the 'SS Skyer Boom Bat' will be added to the portfolio with immediate effect, allowing an amateur or younger audience a more affordable access point of just £40.00.
Commenting on the partnership, Charles Lord, CEO, Surridge Sport said, "The Skyer is one of the best inventions in cricket in recent years.
